Yum - I love white meat!! In fact this year I am only making a turkey breast - not the entire bird since only my husband eats a little bit of the dark! I also love stuffing. I am absolutely a white meat girl. I used to live the dark meat when I was growing up, but now it seems to oily for me. My favourite side dish is my grandma's 7 layer casserole. Absolutely LOVE it.

I'm another dark meat girl - and it's not Thanksgiving until I've had frozen cranberry salad. It's actually more like a dessert (ground cranberries, apples, cool whip and walnuts. MMMMMMM!!!!) but we all refer to it as a salad so we don't feel guilty eating it with our dinner :)

How about I just make it easier and say I like to eat? I like white meat the best. Brocolli & rice casserole is one of fav side dishes.
Dark meat too...and no one else likes it in my family so it's perfect. I like mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, corn, asparagus but hate most of the Thanksgiving staples (yams, sweet potatoes, tomato aspic, etc. that both my mom and MIL make!)...

I'm all about the white meat... won't touch the dark meat! And I LOVE stuffing! My family has tons of food allergies, so I have to bake the bread to make the stuffing with (in fact, it's rising right now...), and my hubby's a vegetarian, so no sausage or oysters here... just bread cubes, celery, onions, apricots and veggie stock and lots of fresh herbs. It's fab, if I do say so myself!
I take a little white meat,but leave room for the mash potato, stuffing, cranberry swirl I make on my plate, then smother it with gravy. Plus, more stuffing on the side. I am all about the stuffing! :)
I like white meat the best and my favorite side dish is my mother-in-law's stuffing which is huge because I don't usually like stuffing. She cooked it so the edges got crispy and I would try to get that part. I am usually still picking at it as we clean up. I will miss it and her. She passed away earlier this year. I guess my back up is going to be mashed potatoes. I can never pass up mash potatoes of any kind.

My mom makes these delicious sweet potato biscuits with a recipe from a restaurant near Virginia Beach. I don't like sweet potatoes much, but I really like these biscuits. Unfortunately, whenever I try to make them myself, they never come out right . . . And as far as the turkey, I definitely prefer the white meat.
I love both dark and light...but I guess if I have to choose, I have to go for the unhealthy like you! LOL! I also love green bean casserole the best as my side dish...but a close second is a casserole of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots with cheese and onions, breadcrumbs baked on top. Yum-O! ;-)

I used to be an "only white meat" girl, now I tend to gravitate to the "dark" side. :-) My favorite side dish is Sweet Potato Casserole (not with the marshmallow topping but with a mix of brown sugar, pecans and butter--the sugar starts to melt and get crunchy in spots--Divine!!). Well, I think this is my first comment on the blog candy.... I subscribe to so many of you ladies I decided I better not go blog hopping lest I forget where I'd already posted! Favorite side dish? Hmmm, my sister's mushroom gravy that she no longer makes, or her wild rice, which she no longer makes.... My DH does ALL the cooking, DS says her kitchen doesn't work. Hasn't worked in 10 years! White meat and dressing with gravy all over!! Yum!!!
A few of my favorite things ... love that white meat, but dish-wise it's my sister's request this year from my Mom to bring her spice cake - I posted the recipe here - and family tradition-wise it's our gathering to watch "Miracle on 34th Street" after dinner!

I love dark turkey meat! Yumm, I can't wait to have some today.
My favorite is the stuffing my mother taught me to make. I love the stuffing that I put inside the bird. It's more moist and ultra yummy. It's a shame I only make it once a year.
Love the sweet potatoes and orange dish my mom makes (we had out Thanksgiving in October up here in Canada, but a good memory of the fabulous food!). As for white or dark meat, I am a dark meat lover for sure!!

I'm a white meat gal. Don't much like the texture of dark meat. The white meat is especially yummy with a mound of mashed potatoes and gravy on top with cranberry sauce just slightly to the side of it. MMMMMMMM!

I like any of the meat. Spinach salad sounds yummy! My SIL makes yummy broccoli salad. That might be my favorite although mashed potatoes are the bomb! Happy Thanksgiving!

My favorite is white meat and my favorite side dish is my grandmother's candied sweet potatoes. They are unlike anyone elses and they are fabulous!!!
Fav side dish - homemade cranberry relish - it has fresh cranberries, apples, oranges, celery and sugar in it - I only make it once a year so it is my favorite side. I am a white meat only girl - we have lots of dark meat lovers in the family - but I love the white.
Speaking of yummy things?! I prefer dark meat and my favorite side dish is sweet Potato souffle.
I like white meat with cranberry sauce. My favorite side dish - I hate these questions b/c I have such a hard time deciding....but it has to be the sausage stuffing my MIL makes - which she didn't make this year when we were up for early thanksgiving so I was really sad :(

This year my kids are with their dad in SC so my DH & I are alone and will be having steak instead of a traditional dinner with all the fixings. Normally I prefer Ham over Turkey (sorry)

Definitely white meat for me and I LOVE fried sweet potatoes! Fry them with salt, pepper and sugar until they are a little crispy. . . delightful! Blessings to you!

My favorite side dish is pecan pie...hey in my world, it's a side dish, OK. If I had to choose a "real" side dish, I guess it would be my mom's mashed potatoes. And it's white turkey for me.
My favorite part of the bird is the legs and thigh so I am definitely a dark meat kind of girl. My favorite side dish of the Thanksgiving meal is the stuffing. I could eat that daily. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a blessed holiday season.

Oh this one is pretty easy. My favorite side has got to be my sisters home made cranberry/orange sauce and the only meat I eat is white. Sure would be nice to win your blog candy Val so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. One can never have too many sentiment stamps!

I go in spurts some years dark, other years, white. This year was a white year. My favorite side dish is our family's famous mac N cheese recipe. It has even won a contest before. Can't wait to see the new Hannah stamps and website tomorrow.
