My Dear Kind.....

and Wonderful Friend. I hope this card brings spring to you when you are in the midst of a white and cold winter and need a bit of warmth! :)

I taught a class on Tuesday (Shutter card, Stair Step and Shadow box) at Paper Tales and had a couple kits leftover, so this morning I used the papers from the Stair Step kit but changed the sentiments and images to things I have here at home, and made a couple of these Stair-Step fold cards. I'll re-purpose the other kits a bit later instead of having them languish away in their baggies. :)

Basic Stair Step Instructions:
Score a 5-1/2" x 10-1/2" piece of cardstock at:
1-1/4", 2- 1/2", 4- 1/4", 6" and 8- 1/4".

Accordion fold. Embellish and decorate. Keep the tallest addition to a height no more than 4-1/4" and it will fit into an A2 envelope.

Jay invited his parents, sister and my parents over for my birthday last night and cooked up my favorite foods: Filet Mignon, Prosciutto wrapped scallops, Caesar Salad, Asparagus, Risotto and a delicious Vanilla frozen yogurt from BR for desert. It was fabulous! Being surrounded by people I love, enjoying a wonderful time, there's no better way to celebrate a birthday!
